The main street of Moraitika is a strip of bars, restaurants and shops that straggles for over a kilometre to the junction where the main road veers inland and the Messonghi River just beyond it forms the official boundary with Messonghi. The older village on the hill on the other end of Moraitika is known as Ano Moraitika which is virtually unspoilt. The tiny houses and alleys overgrown with bougainvillea, are a far cry from the busy , modern strip. Going up the hill you pass the attractive Church of Theotokou Kimiseos with a quaint belfry on the right. There is a great view of the coast from this area.

Transport: Buses and Taxis are inexpensive. Abba Rent a Car offers reasonable rates on cars with fully comprehensive insurance. Facilities & Amenities: Dr Balis Medical Centre, Hairdresser, Go-karting, Travel offices providing various boat-trips, coach island excursion, excursion to Aqualand, safety deposit box facilities and bureau de charge services. Shopping: Supermarkets, clothes and Tourist shops available. Jewellery , leather goods and olive wood sculptures are good buys. Beach: A mixture of shingle and sand. The usual water sports are on offer , as well as modest waterslide with plastic chutes. Scuba Diving is also available. Sunbeds and pedalloes for hire. The water is shallow and warm , suitable for children. Eating Out: A selections of Restaurants and Tavernas providing Greek and international cuisine. Also plenty of fast food outlets and pizzerias on the main road. Popular Restaurants: Islands , Rose Garden and Moraitika Village Taverna (in Ano Moraitika). Bars, Cafes and Clubs: Nightlife is a thriving trade in Moraitika , with most of the resort’s many lively bars and clubs dotted along the main road. Popular bars: Rainbow, Charlie’s, Harry and George. Popular Clubs: Verycoco.
